Effective July 29, 2026
This policy describes how NerdHouse Bookkeeping ("the application"), operated by NerdHouse LLC, handles data. The application is single-tenant internal software used solely on NerdHouse's own business records.
With your authorization, the application reads and writes accounting data in the connected QuickBooks Online company using the Intuit APIs. This can include invoices, payments, deposits, bank transactions, vendors, customers, and the chart of accounts. It also reads bank transaction data supplied by the account owner for reconciliation.
We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties. We do not use it for advertising or profiling. We do not access QuickBooks companies other than the one explicitly authorized by NerdHouse.
Data and OAuth tokens are stored on infrastructure controlled by NerdHouse. Tokens are held server-side with filesystem permissions restricting access to the service account, and are transmitted only over TLS. Access is limited to authorized NerdHouse personnel.
Data is retained while the QuickBooks connection remains active. On disconnection, stored OAuth tokens are deleted and API access ceases. To request deletion of locally cached accounting data, contact [email protected].
Material changes to this policy will be reflected here with a revised effective date.
